Module Description

This module will address both the fundamental subject components necessary to effectively source, design, research and disseminate business consultancy projects for both small to medium sized businesses and larger companies. The module content also takes an international perspective and fully appreciates that the role of a consultancy now requires a blend of both physical and virtual skills /support in the pursuit of viable and tangible results.

The Business Consultancy Report.

The Business Consultancy Report will be written in the third person and be an evaluative review of theory applied to organizational practice and contain the following:

  • Introduction
  • An analysis/compare and contrast, of published literature, specific organisational sector research, and the organisation’s practice.
  • Application of research, including the impact on cost in relation to benefit, employee impact, and alignment to strategy and external forces driving change.
  • Recommendations — Clearly stated recommendation(s) supported by; suggested implementation plan, identification of possible risk, action to mitigate risk, and intended impact of the recommendation in meeting the strategic objectives of the business.
  • Conclusion — a review of the potential impact of the consultancy intervention supported by a critical evaluation on how the project will meet organisational strategy and external forces driving change.

A template for the report and guidance with a breakdown of indicative word counts will be provided for all students to use for their submission.
