The global marketplace has recently been characterised by volatility and an increase in disruptive events. Supply chains have been disrupted at local, national and international levels. Widespread disruptions have become the norm and to survive, supply chains have needed to evolve and adapt. Companies that remain inflexible are more susceptible to failure, especially in the such a competitive market.
Your task:
- Conduct desktop research on a disruptive event of your choice. This could be global or local event. Use a minimum of 10 sources. Make sure that your sources are not older than 5 years (not older than 2018).
- Provide a detailed discussion of the risk event and outline how the event disrupted supply chains. Discuss the impact of the disruption.
- Explain how companies responded to the disruption. Provide practical examples and evidence to support your explanation.
- Provide recommendations for companies to improve their overall resilience, agility and flexibility to mitigate against the impact of future disruptions.

- Use either Arial or Times New Roman, Size 12 font with 1.5 line spacing. Page numbers must be inserted at the bottom left of each page starting from the Introduction.
