Requirement
Create a newsletter or poster about multiliteracies for parents children in an ECEC setting.
Key Content:
- Provide a clear definition of multiliteracies.
- Explain two pedagogies of multiliteracies.
- Provide and briefly describe two contexts of children’s meaning making.
- Explain three examples of teaching strategies that encourage children’s communication skills.
- Identify a computer program or iPad app for children 5 yearsof age and/or younger, then:
- a) Evaluate/analyse the chosen computer program or iPad app for children 5 years of age and/or younger.
- b) Analyse the literacy value of your chosen app/program.
- c) Identify and evaluate the most suitable age group for the app/program.
- d) Explain how the digital app/program could be extended into children’s other learning areas within thecurriculum (consider STEAM ideas).

Newsletter
Be creative – present your newsletter as you would present it to parents. For example, include colour, appropriate headings, photographs, screenshots etc, to make your newsletter attractive and engaging to parents/carers.
Use appropriate sub-headings to enhance readability so key points can be easily followed.
Make sure your assignments complies to School of Education assignment formatting requirements.
Your newsletter may be written in 1st or 3rd Person. Please do not write in a mixture of both.
Poster
Use either word or pdf. To create your poster
Your poster will be no longer than A3 in size.
Be creative, ensure your poster is aesthetically pleasing and engaging to parents. Include colour, headings, photographs, screenshots etc
Dot points can be used, but information must be clearly explained.
